My mother always told me to wash any clothing I bought before wearing it. I had to admit that as a teenager, and even into my adult life, I never really assigned much value to this advice. After all, I bought it new from a store. How dirty could it be, right? Wrong!

I stumbled upon this video from the Today Show and was shocked. The “return policy” practices at stores like Macy’s and Victoria’s Secret are unbelievable. At Lavinia, merchandise can only be returned with original tags attached. We reject returns that show any signs of wear or have tags taken off. This is why:
