Days before Brazil’s spectacular celebration of Carnival, 25 Brazilian models stripped down to their undies and paraded down the streets of the nation’s capital to promote the country’s undergarment industry. It wasn’t just a street –stopping stunt, but a salute to National Underwear Day, now in its fifth year of observation. Tourists and residents alike watched and snapped photos as scantily clad women pranced in bra and panty sets with stockings and stilettos, while their male contemporaries strutted their top-notch forms in boxers and top hats. With an underlying cabaret theme, the festive models led the growing crowd to a popular shopping mall selling Brazilian lingerie brands. Revelers enjoyed food as surprise guests and models mingled with partygoers. The overall event was deemed a success with record high sales according to reps. Spectators also seemed pleased as some even abandoned their vehicles to take part in the festivities.
