Triumph International Lingerie is offering a new kind of support for Japanese women on the prowl for a husband – specially designed the “husband-hunting†bra for the woman trying hard to look for a good husband before her biological clock runs out. It has been manufactured amid falling marriage rate in Japan; with the age of the average bride now 28 or over.
Triumph publicist Keiko Masuda said about the bra, which features a self-set counter: “First you decide your target time or deadline until marriage and the countdown clock will start. Once you find your life partner and get engaged, you have to insert the engagement ring into the slot and the clock stops and The Wedding March begins.”
She added: “Japanese women are becoming more aggressive than men, working actively to make marriage happen, whereas in the past it was men who led women towards marriage. The roles have switched completely.”
