Happy 2011 from Lavinia Lingerie!
Goodbye 2010; hello 2011. With the ringing in of the New Year, many of us prepared a list of New Year’s Resolutions. We always seem to know that some are realistic, while others are well-intentioned long range goals that we don’t quite feel up to tackling, yet we add them each year in the hopes motivation strikes us.
“Out with the old and in with the new”. This expression can be applied to many things, including our resolutions. A simple, yet achievable task for 2011 could be to clean out your lingerie drawer, ridding yourself of ill-fitting, old, stretched or dingy bras and panties. They’re probably not doing what they should be doing anymore, and they most likely don’t make you feel like showing them off-intentionally or not. I mean if you accidentally walked over a subway vent today like Marilyn Monroe did in the classic 1955 movie “The Seven Year Itch”, would you be embarrassed by your undies or revel in your femininity and confidently walk away knowing that you-at least-looked your best. As simple as it sounds, well-fitted, pretty lingerie sets the foundation for many of us-making us walk straighter, with perhaps a little more bounce in our step, feeling sexier, more confident. It certainly makes me feel better, regardless of whether my outfit is fabulous or not. So, go ahead and get rid of your old bras and panties that have seen better days. Buy yourself new ones that make you feel comfortable, sexy and assured. Do it for yourself first and foremost. Ultimately if you feel sexier and more confident about your curves, it will show to the outside world in small ways and perhaps more noticeably to your significant other. If one of your resolutions includes the all too common “lose weight” or “tone your body more”, buy just a few core pieces for every new stage achieved so that you’re always looking your best. Don’t put it off ’til later. Feel great everyday. Wear your curves with pride.
