Supermodel Natalia Vodianova hosted Etam lingerie fashion show in Paris. She also designed the Spring/Summer 2012 line. Welcoming her efforts–disco darlings like Grace Jones, Gloria Gaynor, Chaka Khan, and 80s girl group The Pointer Sisters. First up, Miss Grace Jones in a black leotard and mask singing “La Vie En Rose” while the ladies hit the lavish stage at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris. The collection, while showcasing sweet pink lingerie and bustier one-pieces, is also about nighties, evening wear, lace, bright colors, gold and black bronzed onesies and more.
Gloria Gaynor wows the crowd with her disco hit “I Am What I Am” while Hanne Gaby Odiele and a host of other models parade down the stage in black lace lingerie, onesies, sexy bows, and red shoes. Later, models in bright colors walk down the stage with poodles dyed in pink, green, and blue.
This time, it’s Chaka Khan’s turn to light up the stage and she does with her hit “Ain’t Nobody” wearing a leather blazer and a glittery bustier. The girls stream out in pink afros and girly nighties and lingerie sets with butterflies, bows and playful prints. The Etam line for Spring/Summer 2012 was created by supermodel Natalia Vodianova with artistic direction by Mark Ronson.
The show caps off with a powerful performance featuring Sister Sledge’s hit song “We Are Family.” Sister Sledge welcomes to the stage the 50 models like Anna Selezneva, in their pink afros, black lingerie, and playful pajama getups and then introduces the other singing acts for a grand finale that rivals the biggest fashion shows of this season.
